Terminator Survivors, produced by Nacon, embraces a concept similar to Resident Evil by integrating an unstoppable pursuer into its gameplay, much like the iconic film series featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger. This concept draws inspiration from the iconic antagonists such as Resident Evil 2's Mr. X, and extends to Nemesis, Jack Baker, and Lady Dimitrescu to a lesser extent. Brace yourself for an intense experience as Terminator Survivors brings to the table a comparable adversary, described by Nacon as 'a relentless and formidable hunter that cannot be halted.'

While it draws influence from Resident Evil, Nacon implemented the unique T-800 adversary not only to stay true to the original films' narrative but also to reflect the daunting atmosphere of the first two movies in the Terminator series.

An announcement on the game's Steam platform indicates, "The narrative is set in 2009, right after the apocalyptic event known as Judgment Day, during a time when Skynet had not yet maximized its manufacturing strength. The T-800 model represents Skynet's tireless quest through time as an infiltration unit. Skynet dispatches the specific T-800 that players encounter in a fervent effort to alter the past and clinch a victory in the Future War."

Nacon makes a valid observation that the original films revolved around cyborg hunters, making the implementation of a similar element in the game a coherent choice. Yet, the constant tension and apprehension of being hunted in a game centered on survival might not be eagerly anticipated by all.
