Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap Announced, Launches Early 2025

Robot Entertainment is back with the fifth game in the Orcs Must Die! Series, titled Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap. The development of the game utilized Unreal Engine 5, aiming not only to outstrip its predecessors but also to reinvent the paradigm of third-person tower defense action games.

Offering a variety of brand-new elements, Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap will incorporate options for four-player co-op and incorporate fresh roguelike progression mechanics. Alongside an array of new playable characters, each with individually unique skills, the game promises amplified visual and physics enhancements and a profound elevation in combat and other aspects.

Robot Entertainment's co-founder and CEO Patrick Hudson enthusiastically announced the new addition, stating their dedication to constantly raising the benchmark for enjoyment and innovation. He says the team has carefully considered their avid gamers' feedback to preserve the classic fun chaos and light-hearted atmosphere. Still, they integrate the thrill of four-player collaboration, innovative heroes, a diversified gaming landscape, and enticing roguelite progression options into Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap. Hudson insists this game is about escalating the excitement in combatting adversaries.

Expected to launch in early 2025, Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap will initially be available only on Xbox Series X/S and PC. However, Robot Entertainment has not yet confirmed if the game will subsequently be made available on other platforms.
