Fortnite's Star Wars Day Bonanza: New Adventures Await!

Last year's May the 4th event in Fortnite was memorable, featuring an event pass that allowed players to earn a complimentary clonetrooper skin. But Epic Games has outdone itself for this year's May the 4th celebration, introducing a plethora of Star Wars-themed cosmetics in battle royale, Festival, and Rocket Racing, not to mention the exciting new Star Wars-themed Lego Pass for Lego Fortnite, which will be active until late July. The festivities kick off on the morning of Friday, May 3 and continue until May 14.

Fortnite Lego Pass: Rebel Adventure

The main attraction of this year's May the 4th celebration is in Lego Fortnite, where the Empire is set to invade players' worlds. Gamers will need to undertake quests for the Rebel Alliance to fend off the Empire and make progress on the all-new Lego Pass. This will unlock an array of Star Wars-themed builds and decor items for Lego Fortnite, inspired by the notorious Mos Eisley spaceport. The Lego Pass includes both a complimentary track of items and a premium track with exclusive content, such as a Chewbacca skin usable across the Fortnite ecosystem.

For those solely interested in Chewbacca and not the Lego Fortnite experience, the premium track of the Lego Pass is an excellent value at only 1,400 V-Bucks, granting immediate access to the Chewbacca skin, with the Lego items serving as a bonus. This Lego Pass will be on offer until July 23.

Lego Fortnite x Star Wars Gameplay Enhancements

In Lego Fortnite, the Star Wars presence will be significant, with the Empire causing disruption in your Lego creations. Meanwhile, Rebel allies will also require assistance nearby. Support them in establishing their base by completing quests, which will enable you to drive out the invaders. Players will be able to utilize Star Wars tools such as macrobinoculars and lightsabers, with the latter becoming available through quest completion. Additionally, a new Rebel Workbench will be introduced, allowing the crafting of iconic Star Wars weaponry like the DL-44 blaster pistol, the Wookiee Bowcaster, and the Thermal Detonator grenade. All these items will remain available even after the May the 4th event concludes.

Chewbacca is just one of the many new Star Wars skins debuting in this update. The item shop will offer an extensive selection of Star Wars cosmetics, including three additional skins—Lando Calrissian, Dagobah Luke Skywalker, and the AWR Trooper from Rogue One, all available with Lego styles.

The May the 4th event will also revamp the battle royale mode with Star Wars-themed additions. Darth Vader will make his appearance at one of three possible locations, and players can engage him for his lightsaber, a versatile tool for defense and offense. In addition, stormtrooper outposts and their E-11 blaster rifles will be scattered across the map. In a surprising twist, Chewbacca will be found imprisoned at a stormtrooper camp, and freeing him will earn his loyalty as he joins your fight. Imperial chests and Chewbacca himself, once rescued, will yield the Wookiee Bowcaster. Completing related quests will reward players with the AWR Trooper Pack back bling.

Rocket Racing's New Star Wars Vehicle

Rocket Racing will introduce a new Beskar car, inspired by Din Djarin's Mandalorian armor, available for purchase in the item shop. This bundle also includes decals and wheels themed after Star Wars TV characters such as Bo-Katan, Sabine Wren, the Armorer, and Boba Fett. Purchasing this in Fortnite will also unlock it for use in Rocket League.

Players can earn Star Wars-themed decals for the Octane and a drift trail by completing Star Wars quests in Rocket Racing. The first decal is based on Anakin's pod racer, while the second features design elements from Darth Maul. These items will also be accessible in Rocket League once unlocked in Fortnite.

Fortnite Festival Celebrates Star Wars

The Fortnite Festival joins the celebration with the addition of the Cantina Band jam track, the iconic tune from the original movie, available in the item shop. Additionally, players can acquire the Endorian Drum Kit and the Nalargon Keytar musical instruments. There's also a complimentary Seven-string Hallikset Guitar available through the completion of Star Wars festival quests.
