Fortnite is a Battle Royale MMO shooter, one of the most creative games of the decade. You’re on an island where you can pick weapons and vehicles, complete missions, and build fortifications to survive. Download Fortnite for any platform and join the incredible adventures!
Gameplay 10/10 The presumption of Battle Royale genre is simple: a hundred players deploy on the island, one of them (or one team, in team mode) is to survive. Time is limited. The storm is closing from around, leaving but a small spot where survivors meet in the end for the showdown.
In Fortnite, though, you don’t only run and pick weapons and ammunition. You can collect materials like wood, stone, and metal to build your defensive and offensive fortifications. You can also use vehicles to move through the map quicker.
The best part of Fortnite is that it’s free for everyone, and buying a Battle Pass gives you no advantage during the battle. All the players start the game equally armed with kist a pickaxe, picking the weapons in the process. The only thing you can upgrade in it is your skill. Instead, it lets you customize your appearance or access new missions and quests with prizes.
Next to local stories, visuals of Fortnite may seem primitive. On the other hand, it’s a large online-only world, so less detail means more space and more players online. It’s also recompensed by endless creativity in suits, weapons, landscapes, and even menus. So the game maybe not as greatly detailed as offline RPGs. On the other hand, its size is also so much less: an iPad version, for example, is only 8 GB, and a PC/Mac version is up to 18 GB – not a lot next to its likes.
Replay Value 10/10
It wouldn’t have been this significant if not for constant updates. There are always new stories, with aliens, spies, or pirates on the island. New dance movements and flags, quests, and stories appear constantly. Besides, there are cultural events within Fortnite, such as new movie demonstrations or DJ sets. If you revisit the game in a fortnight, it may be quite different, and it will surely be in six months.
Fortnite supports virtually all types of controls. It can be a classical gamepad, a touch emulation, or a keyboard and mouse. It also offers automatic shooting as soon as you aim right, but it’s just an option. The game is cross-platform, but it’s well balanced, so matching is organized to provide no platform advantages over others.
- Great gameplay with a simple premise and tricky missions
- Constant updates and innovations
- Low system requirements
- Free to play.
- Visuals quite simple
- Adapted for casual playing, so hardcore shooter fans may dislike that.
